Pastor Ruth-Ann Wynter

The Talent of the Servant Leader:  How to Identify & Leverage Your Power

Born in Kingston, Jamaica and led to the Lord at the age of nine by her mother, Ruth-Ann and her brother Ray were raised in a Christian home and witnessed a Godly commitment to ministry through the example of their parents Ray and Doreen Wynter. As a result of this tremendous example, at a young age, Ruth-Ann dedicated her life to serving the Lord through whatever door He may open. In 2008, Ruth-Ann was ordained as an Elder at Bethel Gospel Assembly, Inc. in Harlem, New York, where Bishop Carlton T. Brown is the Senior Pastor.

Over the course of her time at Bethel, Ruth-Ann has been blessed to provide leadership for several successful programs at the church that have touched every aspect of one’s spiritual journey. She serves as the Director of Ministry Relations and Pastoral Affairs. In this capacity she is responsible for being the Pastoral Assistant to the Senior Pastor, handling media and press relations on behalf of the assembly as well as the care of special guests of the Bishop and his staff. In 2019, Ruth-Ann was installed as Executive Pastor of Bethel Gospel Assembly and will now provide oversight to a wider scope of the ministry’s operations.

A proud graduate of New York University, Ruth-Ann has pursued a career in human resources management in the entertainment industry and has been privileged to hold challenging and rewarding executive positions throughout her professional journey. These positions include leading human resources teams at media conglomerate Time Warner, advertising agencies Translation, LLC and Deep Focus and global entertainment company Live Nation Entertainment. She was also privileged to serve as the National Director of Human Resources for RocNation, which was founded by Hip Hop Icon Jay-Z. At present, Ruth-Ann is a Partner at United Talent Agency (UTA), one of the world’s premier entertainment companies, representing clients in every current and emerging area of the sports and entertainment industries.

Based in New York City, Ruth-Ann provides support for employees and clients based in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville, Miami, London and Malmo, Sweden. Ruth-Ann expresses her continued commitment to the development of today’s youth by serving as President of New Horizons Ministries Inc., a non-profit organization founded by her late father, Rev. Ray R. Wynter. New Horizons has been dedicated to helping young people master the challenges of daily living for over 45 years through their camps, retreats, conferences, special events and luncheons, thanks to the tireless efforts of their 100% volunteer staff.

The Lord has used Ruth-Ann’s love of music to open doors for her to work alongside many national gospel artists and organizations in major events for over 20 years. She is currently the General Manager for VMan Entertainment, LLC, the music company founded and led by Gospel artist and business executive, VaShawn Mitchell. She also serves on the board of the Gospel Heritage Foundation founded by industry trailblazer, Dr. Theresa Hairston, which is committed to equipping and inspiring those involved in the gospel music industry, while celebrating the genre’s rich heritage.

Ruth-Ann firmly believes that according to Mark 10:27 “with God all things are possible” and is fully committed to working “while it is day”. Her motto with which she walks through life is: “There is no limit to what can be accomplished as long as it doesn’t matter who gets the credit.”
